"When this vision began, we saw what many of you also witnessed—Veterans struggling with homelessness, trauma, addiction, unemployment, and the barriers that make rebuilding difficult without safe housing. We knew there needed to be a place where Veterans could stabilize, heal, and thrive—not just survive.
This home is built on our values: Vision, Strength, and Resilience. It represents a bridge from homelessness to permanent housing and a supportive environment where Veterans can rebuild their lives with dignity and structure.
Here, Veterans will receive safe housing, case management, mental health and recovery support, workforce readiness services, job placement assistance, and life-skills training. This is not just shelter—this is a pathway to purpose, independence, and long-term stability."
To our Marietta City officials, Cobb County leadership, donors, partners, and community supporters, thank you. You didn’t just support a building; you invested in dignity, stability, and opportunity for the men and women who served our country.
Today is a beginning—not an ending. We will continue building partnerships, refining services, and advocating for the resources Veterans deserve. Our vision is simple: no Veteran homeless, no Veteran forgotten, and no Veteran left behind.
Veronica Sigalo – CEO
I was honored to witness the soft opening of the Veterans House, which Zion Keepers has spent years acquiring and remodeling to comfortably house veterans in need. The will, drive, and dedication to make this happen humbled me and is a motivating story of what a small group with extraordinary leadership can do to make a difference.
Helping veterans as we do, and as we have done at CobbSalutes.org, has always been about honoring their service—honoring them for showing up and doing their jobs, no matter how big or small. This concept of service to others was everywhere in the opening. It was grace in human form, honoring the veterans in need and honoring those doing the giving. If it is true that the more you give, the more you receive, the Zion Keepers will be rich in spiritual returns.
The faith that drives this group was so apparent, as was the leadership. In my life, I have learned three rules of leadership:
Leadership in any endeavor is everything.
The best leadership is to lead by example.
Great leaders learned to be great followers first.
Thank you for leading the way so we may follow.
